My Journey...

I became an apprentice Early Years Educator after completing my level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and deciding that I loved working with children. I initially started working with Emily and Nicole within the mathematics program and spent a lot of time playing with children constructing, designing, reasoning, and using math's in play. This was a challenge and I enjoyed learning more about how children’s numeracy developed.
As my confidence has grown in the centre, I have become integral part of the team and have started to engage in larger activities and take more responsibility in the centre. I have enjoyed becoming a key person and engaging with each child’s learning journey and watching the impact I have as I support their interests and learning focusses with activities that excite and motivate them.
I have now completed my Early Years Educator qualification and I am a fully qualified practitioner and am now looking forward to starting my Level 6 apprenticeship to become Pedagogic Lead as soon as it becomes available. I want to become the best practitioner I can and I look forward to progressing both my knowledge of child development and my skills when working with children. I enjoying implementing the theories I learn about into my practice and watching the impact on the childrens outcomes and I am committed to my continuing professional development.
